We're looking for a Construction Manager to join our Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works team based in Maple Cross.

Location: Maple Cross, Rickmansworth
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join us as a Construction Manager on one of Thames Water's most significant infrastructure upgrades at Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works. This major scheme will play a vital role in increasing treatment capacity, improving environmental performance and strengthening long-term resilience for the region. It's an opportunity to be part of a high-profile project that combines complex civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineering challenges with meaningful outcomes for customers, communities and the environment.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Construction Manager, you'll be working within the Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works team, supporting them in delivering one of Thames Water's most significant infrastructure upgrades. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading day-to-day construction delivery, ensuring civil, mechanical, electrical, process and temporary works activities are planned, coordinated and delivered safely and efficiently
  • Managing health, safety, environmental and quality performance across the works, including visible safety leadership, site inspections and incident reporting
  • Planning and coordinating construction activities within a live operational sewage treatment works, maintaining safe interfaces with existing assets and operational teams
  • Leading and supporting site management and supervisory teams, ensuring clear communication, appropriate competence and a positive, accountable delivery culture
  • Working closely with site staff, suppliers, clients and Thames Water operations to resolve constraints, mitigate risk and maintain progress

What are we looking for?

This role of Construction Manager is great for you if:

  • You have proven experience managing construction delivery on complex infrastructure, civil engineering or water/wastewater projects, ideally within a live operational site environment
  • You possess strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, temporary works, lifting operations, permits and safe systems of work
  • You can demonstrate the ability to lead site teams, supervisors and supply chain partners to deliver work safely, efficiently and to programme
  • You have a sound understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, including CDM Regulations, RAMS and site assurance processes
  • You hold a valid CSCS card and Full driving licence; SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification is preferred
