We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team based in Solihull, West Midlands.

Location: Solihull, West Midlands
Hours: Full time, permanent - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in managing the commercial aspects of our construction projects. You'll be responsible for maximising project profitability whilst building strong relationships with clients, contractors and your team. This is an opportunity to make a real impact, working on exciting regional projects where your expertise will be valued and your contributions will help shape successful outcomes.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering projects safely, on time, and to the required quality. Your day to day will include:

  • Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through effective contract placement and control
  • Appointing subcontractors and placing orders for materials and plant within delegated authorities
  • Measuring and valuing work to support customer invoicing and supplier payments, whilst positively managing project cash flows
  • Leading and motivating the project's commercial staff, fostering collaborative relationships across all functions
  • Assessing, controlling and mitigating commercial and contractual risks whilst providing accurate reports and forecasts

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You have clear communication skills and experience working effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients and the wider supply chain
  • You hold relevant qualifications - a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying
  • You have experience in a similar role and demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • You're confident using IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems
