We're looking for a Degree Apprentice Planner to join our Construction team based in Birmingham City Centre working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship in Construction Management.

Location: Birmingham City Centre visiting various sites within the West Midlands Region.

Hours: 40hrs per week 

Salary: £22,000 - with salary earning potential of £35k+ upon completion of the course! 

Start date: September 2026

How does a degree apprenticeship work?

As a Degree Apprentice Planner, you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BSc Construction Site Management with our university partner, Sheffield Hallam, all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us.  

.

Your day to day will include:

  • Supporting the Planning team in the development, maintenance, and updating of project programmes, ensuring alignment with the overall master programme.
  • Assisting with progress monitoring, data collection, and reporting to support project performance reviews.
  • Attending  and contributing to site progress and coordination meetings, taking minutes and managing follow-up actions.
  • Working on both live projects and tender submissions, supporting planners and project teams in developing detailed and realistic programmes that demonstrate our delivery capability and sequencing approach.
  • Assisting with site logistics planning, working collaboratively with project managers and engineers to develop, review, and amend logistics layouts as site conditions and programme requirements evolve.
  • Attending university during pre-determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course

 

What are we looking for?

To enrol onto your degree, you will need:

 

  • 5 GCSE at Grade 4 or above including Maths and English
  • 2 A-Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications (T-Level, BTEC National Certificate / Diploma / Extended Diploma Or Advanced Diploma)
  • Other Level 3 BTEC qualifications may also be considered

 

To apply as a mature student, you will need at least 5 years' experience in a related career.
