Electrician
We're looking for an Electrician to join our Thames Water team based in Oxfordshire.
Location: Little Marlow and Forest Hill
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As an Electrician, you'll be part of our in-house electrical delivery team, playing a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of water and wastewater facilities. You'll be responsible for installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across treatment facilities, pumping stations, reservoirs, and associated infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on essential infrastructure that makes a real difference to communities.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Electrician, you'll be working within the Thames Water team, supporting them in delivering essential water and wastewater services. Your day to day will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities across water treatment facilities
- Installing and terminating power, control, and instrumentation cables, along with containment systems
- Performing electrical testing and inspection in accordance with BS 7671 requirements
- Diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective solutions on motors, pumps, control panels, and associated equipment
- Completing maintenance records, test certificates, and site documentation accurately while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures
What are we looking for?
This role of Electrician is great for you if:
- You're a qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, along with AM2 certification and ECS Gold Card
- You hold an Inspection and Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
- You have experience working on industrial electrical installations with strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- You can read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, with solid knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations
- You hold a Full driving licence and have a flexible approach to work and travel
