Senior Quantity Surveyor
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in the commercial management of our Water Framework project during the construction phase. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise whilst supporting and developing junior colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on exciting infrastructure projects whilst enjoying flexible, hybrid working arrangements.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes. Your day to day will include:
- Ensuring compliance with procurement strategies, including managing subcontract inquiries and tender reviews
- Managing valuations, project cashflows, and preparing monthly cost reports with trend analysis
- Providing legal and contractual advice on orders, changes, and subcontractor administration
- Driving commercial initiatives and producing margin improvement plans to maximize opportunities
- Leading and mentoring junior staff, ensuring targets and deadlines are consistently met
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You hold a relevant academic qualification in a construction-related degree
- You have a Full driving licence
- You have demonstrable experience working in a commercial role for a contractor
- You have experience working with a variety of contract forms
- You thrive working collaboratively as part of a team
