General Foreman

We're looking for a General Foreperson to join our United Utilities Framework based across the North West of England.

Location: Blackburn, Manchester and Cumbria (Multiple locations available) 
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee day-to-day construction operations on water and wastewater treatment works projects. You'll play a vital role in ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards, whilst managing teams, subcontractors, and resources on-site. What will you be responsible for?

As a General Foreperson, you'll be working within the construction operations team, supporting them in delivering high-quality water and wastewater treatment works.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Supervising and coordinating daily activities of supervisors, work teams, and subcontractors
• Interpreting project plans, drawings, and specifications to delegate work assignments effectively
• Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Monitoring work quality, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any issues promptly
• Providing guidance and mentorship to operatives, fostering a productive and positive work environment

What are we looking for?

This role of General Foreperson is great for you if:

• You have experience in construction, ideally in a supervisory or foreperson role
• You possess strong communication and collaboration skills for liaising with teams, contractors, and stakeholders
• You can read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications
• You have an understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction
• You hold a full driving licence and can travel to various sites as required
