Graduate Project Manager

We're looking for a Graduate Project Manager to join our Kier Places team based on sites across the Southampton region. 

Location: Southampton region
Hours: 40 hours per week
Starting Salary: £31,000 per annum + Car Allowance (on some contracts)
Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k
Starting date: September 2027

Kier Places is Kier's building, estate and property management business, delivering end-to-end solutions for places where people live and work. As a Graduate Project Manager, you'll work in a supporting role within the project delivery team, helping experienced Project Managers and operational colleagues with the safe, timely and high-quality delivery of construction and refurbishment projects. You'll gain experience across the full project lifecycle and benefit from a structured development plan that will support you towards a recognised professional qualification or chartership route.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Graduate Project Manager, you'll be working within the project delivery team, supporting them in the successful delivery of construction and refurbishment projects.

Your day to day will include:

• Supporting the Project Manager with day-to-day coordination and administration of projects
• Maintaining accurate project records, trackers, meeting notes and document control information
• Assisting with planning, monitoring and reporting project progress against agreed programmes and milestones
• Attending project meetings, recording actions and following up allocated items
• Building positive working relationships with clients, consultants, supply chain partners and internal teams

What are we looking for?

This role of Graduate Project Manager is great for you if:

• Hold a degree, or expected degree, in Construction Project Management, Construction Management or a related built-environment discipline
• You have an interest in developing a career in project management and progressing towards recognised professional membership or chartership
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to ask questions and seek guidance
• You have an organised and methodical approach, with the ability to manage priorities and maintain accurate record
• Hold a  full UK driving licence and are willing to travel to project locations where required
