Handy Person

We're looking for a Handyperson to join our RAF Wethersfield team based in Essex.

Location: RAF Wethersfield, Essex 

Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Handyperson, you'll be working within the RAF Wethersfield team, supporting them in delivering a customer-focused, cost-effective and efficient maintenance service.

Your day to day will include:

• General maintenance of the site including painting, decorating, lock changes, repairs, and carpentry
• Carrying out routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and minor repair/improvement works
• Proactively reporting faults to equipment, buildings, and fittings
• Maintaining cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas
• Working safely and completing all job packs/reports in a timely manner

What are we looking for?

This role of Handyperson is great for you if:

• You have previous experience in general maintenance and minor repair work
• You can demonstrate procedural/systematic proficiency, including use of specialised equipment
• You are comfortable working within standardised work practices and under direct supervision
