Internal Communications Manager

We're looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join our Construction Team. The role sits within the Kier Construction Communications & Marketing team. The role will work closely with the rest of the Communications & Marketing team, and key senior stakeholders in the business.

 

Location: Flexible on location - hybrid working available, with occasional travel to offices and sites as required

Hours: 39 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

 

What will you be responsible for?

As an Internal Communications Manager, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in the the development and execution of the national internal communications strategy to bring colleagues with us on our strategic journey and help create 4,000 advocates across the business..

Your day to day will include:

  • Co-ordination of agreed and planned calendar of activity 
  • Driving our cascade approach across the business – owning and building on the monthly cascade process to support line managers
  • Strategically improving communication with our offline colleagues, including digital engagement
  • Driving the development of our colleague communications channels (including digital signage) and create engaging content for our communications channels

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Internal Communications Manager is great for you if:

  • Considerable proven experience in internal communications in any sector (construction | built environment desirable)
  • Business partnering experience
  • Experience in creating and delivering effective communications strategies, plans, and campaigns
  • Capability to make complex information, processes and techniques engaging to broad colleague audiences
  • Ability to effectively manage a variety of internal stakeholders and form strong, productive relationships
  • Proven writing skills with the ability to tailor written content to suit different colleague audiences and channels
