We're looking for a Learning and Development Advisor to join our Kier Construction team.

Location: Flexible - hybrid working available with travel to sites and offices as required
Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our talented Learning and Development team, where you'll support the implementation and ongoing management of our technical training and core skills agenda. You'll play a key role in developing our Construction Training Matrix, identifying innovative training solutions, and managing our preferred supplier relationships. Working with data insights, you'll help shape the future of learning across Kier Construction, ensuring our training programmes are effective, compliant, and future-focused.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Learning and Development Advisor, you'll be working within the Learning and Development team, supporting them in delivering exceptional technical training and development solutions. Your day to day will include:

  • Optimising our Learning Management System to create insightful training reports on activity, spend, compliance gaps, and feedback for key stakeholders
  • Managing relationships with external training providers and maintaining our Preferred Suppliers list through regular audits, quality assurance, and performance reviews
  • Supporting the development of new training solutions and keeping our Construction Training Matrix updated and relevant
  • Visiting projects across the UK to consult with stakeholders, understand training needs, and help shape our learning offering
  • Maximising external funding opportunities and working collaboratively across the business to ensure a joined-up approach to technical training

What are we looking for?

This role of Learning and Development Advisor is great for you if:

  • You have experience working in a Learning and Development role with the ability to interrogate data and present valuable insights
  • You're collaborative and thrive in fast-paced environments, with strong project management skills
  • You have knowledge of construction training, awarding organisations, and professional bodies within the industry
  • You're curious about external trends and developments, using this knowledge to continually enhance learning offerings
  • You can build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.

We're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs. You can see more information of benefits here.

Diversity and inclusion

Making Kier a diverse and inclusive place to work is a huge priority for us. We're proud of the steps we've taken so far, but we know we must always do more. Our employees are key in shaping Kier's diversity and inclusion initiatives and our people have made a huge impact on how we work, by using their experiences to shape our policies. You can see our D&I action plan here. As a Disability Confident employer, we will ensure that a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants that meet the minimum criteria for this role will be offered an interview.
