Operations Director
We're looking for an Operations Director to join our Building Solutions team based in Regional office North (Current base is Sheffield).
Location: Regional office North (Current base is Sheffield)
Hours: Agile working available by agreement - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

The Kier Places Building Solutions business delivers circa £80m revenue nationally through its business hubs, with ambitious plans to double in size by 2028. Reporting to the Regional Director, this role will provide leadership and management across the Northern part of the country, working towards developing and delivering a profitable target revenue of £40m+. You'll be accountable for P&L business operations, implementation of the business plan, and leading the team to profitably grow market share within the region whilst ensuring safe, on-time delivery.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Operations Director, you'll be working within the Building Solutions team, supporting them in delivering high-quality construction projects and driving profitable growth. Your day to day will include:
- Managing the delivery of projects within the region, overseeing a diverse portfolio of operational and pre-construction projects across different clients and frameworks
- Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and identifying opportunities for business expansion
- Leading, managing and inspiring a team of highly motivated employees, providing opportunities and development for all
- Working with preconstruction teams to develop work winning strategies and executing successful pre-construction and mobilisation programmes
- Building high performing teams and representing the business with public sector and private clients through existing networks and developing new relationships
