Project Commercial Director
Kier Group are looking for a Project Commercial Director to join our Kier Strategic Projects business.
This will be a key leadership role where you be the Project Commercial Director for a major project in the defence sector at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire.
Location: Cranwell, Sleaford.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent – flexible working available.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Commercial Director, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in providing strategic, visible leadership across your assigned project
Your day to day will include:
- Accountability for managing and motivating the commercial team as well as cross functional teams including procurement and administration.
- A talent leader, able to identify, grow and progress potential talent to build long-term organisational capability for the region and group as a whole
- Ensuring we leverage our scale by excellent demand planning and cross project procurement liaising with other parts of the BU/stream as required.
- Ensure technically the bids are reviewed in terms of design and programme to ensure the full risk profile is clearly understood
- Guide and drive creativity and plans to maximise margin and cash
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Commercial Director is great for you if you have:
- A proven track record of leading a large portfolio of construction projects or a major project with strong front-end experience
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to establish and build teams with appropriate skills, and to recruit, train, retain.
- A range of contractual knowledge including the NEC suite of contracts.
