Project Director
We're looking for a Project Director to join our London team based in London.
Location: London
Hours: 42.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As Project Director, you'll take full accountability for the strategic leadership and operational delivery of a portfolio of construction projects. This is a high-profile opportunity to oversee all aspects of performance—from stakeholder engagement and opportunity development to project execution, safety, and quality assurance. You'll be the senior point of contact for clients, partners, and internal teams, driving collaboration and innovation across diverse groups of contractors and stakeholders. With responsibility for securing new opportunities and ensuring successful delivery, you'll shape the long-term success of the portfolio and contribute to Kier's reputation for excellence in complex listed, historic, and heritage-sensitive environments.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Director, you'll be working within the London team, supporting them in delivering high-performing Cat B fit-out construction and refurbishment projects. Your day to day will include:
- Providing overall leadership and direction for the portfolio, creating and owning the strategic business plan
- Developing collaborative client relationships by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and fostering open communication
- Monitoring KPIs and performance metrics to ensure delivery against programme, budget, and quality targets
- Leading, managing, and developing a diverse team, fostering collaboration and ensuring all deliverables are met
- Managing project risks, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and Kier Group's policies and standards
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Director is great for you if:
- You have extensive project management experience, ideally within Tier 1 construction environments
- You have a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders
- You hold a degree in a related field and have experience managing a portfolio of opportunities with full accountability
- You have strong relationship-building abilities and experience working with government agencies and navigating regulatory requirements
We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
