Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join us as a Risk Manager to lead Enterprise Risk Management across the STEP Fusion programme and Ilios projects. You'll play a vital role in identifying, analysing and managing risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle, supporting the successful delivery of this major infrastructure programme in compliance with ISO 31000 standards. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge fusion energy project whilst working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Risk Manager, you'll be working within the Fusion/UK Fusion Energy Ltd team, supporting them in delivering effective risk management, assurance and reporting. Your day to day will include:

  • Facilitating workshops and undertaking day-to-day risk management activities including identification, prioritisation and action planning
  • Developing and maintaining programme and project risk registers across STEP Fusion and Ilios workstreams
  • Producing periodic risk reporting and supporting programme governance through effective risk assessment and reporting
  • Working closely with project controls, planning, commercial, engineering and delivery teams to ensure risk information supports decision-making
  • Monitoring risks and opportunities through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases

What are we looking for?

This role of Risk Manager is great for you if:

  • You have experience using Enterprise Risk Management software tools within major infrastructure, energy, nuclear or construction environments
  • You have demonstrable experience in the delivery of risk throughout the project lifecycle, including support of investment decisions and delivery phases
  • You understand contracts and the relationship between risk management and controls functions, including project management, change control, planning and cost management
  • You have experience facilitating and leading stakeholder workshops and presenting risk information to senior stakeholders
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
