Section Engineer
We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our United Utilities Framework based across the North West of England
Location: Manchester
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Join our water business team as a Section Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the technical excellence of our projects. You'll work collaboratively with talented professionals to deliver safe, high-quality engineering solutions that make a real difference to the communities we serve. What will you be responsible for?
As a Section Engineer, you'll be working within our water business team, supporting them in delivering exceptional engineering projects.
Your day to day will include:
- Overseeing technical delivery and ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards
- Reviewing engineering drawings and conducting site inspections to maintain quality
- Collaborating with project teams to identify and resolve technical challenges
- Maintaining accurate project records and liaising with clients and regulatory bodies
- Promoting health, safety, and environmental best practices across all site activities
What are we looking for?
This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:
- You hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
- You have an understanding of consents, logistics, and traffic management
- You're aware of commercial processes and how they support project delivery
- You have experience in people and project management
- You're working towards or hold Chartership with ICE, IStructE, or similar professional body (desirable)
