We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames Water Treatment Works Upgrade team based at Hogsmill STW, Surrey.

Location: Hogsmill STW, Surrey 
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team on an exciting Thames Water Treatment Works Upgrade project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the commercial management of the project during its construction phase, supporting the delivery of essential infrastructure while developing your career with a company that truly values its people.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering commercial excellence on the Water Treatment Works Upgrade. Your day to day will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including managing subcontract inquiries and tender reviews
  • Managing valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, with monthly cost reports and progress tracking
  • Preparing monthly cost/value reports and reviewing results with the contract team to identify trends and opportunities
  • Providing legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration
  • Leading and mentoring junior staff, ensuring workload targets and commercial tasks are successfully delivered

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You hold a relevant academic qualification in a related degree
  • You hold a Full driving licence
  • You have prior experience working in a Commercial role for a contractor, ideally with Civils exposure
  • You have experience with a variety of contract forms
  • You have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
