Site Agent
We're looking for a Site Agent to join our East West Rail team in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of intrusive survey works across a major UK infrastructure programme.
As Site Agent, you'll lead site operations, coordinate contractors and stakeholders, and ensure works are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance. Working closely with project teams, landowners and local stakeholders, you'll help drive progress across the East West Rail programme while contributing to the successful delivery of a project that will improve connectivity for communities and businesses across the region.
Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire – hybrid working
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?
As a Site Agent, you'll be coordinating Ground Investigation, Archaeological Trial Trenching, ecological and utility-related activities, together with associated enabling, logistics and reinstatement works across multiple land parcels. Your day to day will include:
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of survey and investigation activities across multiple sites
- Managing supervisors, engineers, operatives, subcontractors and specialist suppliers to ensure clear understanding of responsibilities
- Ensuring all works comply with health and safety policies, CDM 2015 requirements and approved RAMS and permits
- Coordinating land access, stakeholder engagement and maintaining professional relationships with landowners and community members
- Monitoring progress against programmes, managing resources and maintaining accurate records and quality documentation
What are we looking for?
This role of Site Agent is ideal for someone who:
- Has experience delivering civil engineering, rail, highways, utilities, ground investigation or major infrastructure projects and enjoys leading site-based operations
- Brings strong knowledge of construction health and safety, CDM 2015 and safe systems of work, ensuring projects are delivered safely and compliantly.
- Holds an HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience
- Has a current SMSTS qualification and a proactive approach to leading teams, managing contractors and driving high standards on site
- Builds effective relationships with stakeholders, landowners and delivery partners, supported by a full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel across the project area
