Social Impact Coordinator
Kier Transportation is seeking a Social Impact and Inclusion Coordinator to support both our Design and Rail businesses as a shared national resource. The role requires regular visibility across offices and live contracts, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure social impact is fully integrated into how we operate and clearly evidenced through delivery.
This position involves travel across the UK as required and offers a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the communities where we work—building strong partnerships, influencing positive outcomes, and embedding social impact at the heart of everything we do.
Location: Nationwide - travel to the office required with some remote working available
Hours: 37.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per year + £5k annual car allowance + benefits
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Social Impact and Inclusion Coordinator, you'll be working closely with Design leaders and Rail delivery teams to drive social value, diversity and inclusion commitments across our contracts and office locations.
Your day to day will include:
- Leading delivery of contract social impact commitments and tracking social value outcomes for internal and client reporting
- Providing consistent support and coordination to Design offices and rail contracts to embed social impact into design and delivery activities
- Building strong relationships with operational, design, commercial and client stakeholders, partners, supply chain and local communities
- Championing social impact awareness and sharing best practice across teams, replicating successful initiatives nationally
- Maintaining awareness of relevant social value legislation and standards, translating these into practical delivery guidance
What are we looking for?
This role of Social Impact and Inclusion Coordinator is a great fit for someone who:
- Has experience delivering social impact initiatives and driving measurable social value
- Brings strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and manage multiple activities at once
- Enjoys working collaboratively and building effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Is comfortable working independently while also contributing as part of a wider team
- Is genuinely passionate about creating positive outcomes in the communities where we work
