Social Value Advisor
We're looking for a Social Value Advisor to join our Construction Scotland team based in Glasgow.
Location: Glasgow, Scotland - Travel between office, sites and 3rd party locations with some opportunity for home working as appropriate
Hours: 37.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Are you passionate about creating positive change in communities? As our Social Value Advisor, you'll play a vital role connecting Kier Construction with local communities, schools, and universities. You'll be the bridge that ensures our social commitments are not just promises, but delivered realities with measurable impact.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Social Value Advisor, you'll be working within the Construction Scotland team, supporting them in delivering meaningful community engagement and social value. Your day to day will include:
• Supporting projects in delivering employment and skills initiatives while monitoring outcomes
• Collaborating with our supply chain to ensure social value targets are achieved
• Creating compelling case studies that showcase our community impact
• Representing Kier at career fairs, community events and school engagements
• Managing data collection and reporting through our Social Value Calculator, Thrive
What are we looking for?
This role of Social Value Advisor is great for you if:
• You have experience in a similar community-focused role, ideally within construction
• You understand the Social Value Act and its implications for contractors
• You're organised with excellent communication skills and enjoy relationship building
• You can balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• You have a genuine passion for social sustainability and making a difference
