We're looking for a Survey Instrument Coordinator to join our Plymouth - Devonport Royal Dockyard team based in Plymouth - Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Location: Plymouth - Devonport Royal Dockyard 
Hours: 42.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks. Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

KierBAM are a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and BAM Nuttall, currently delivering an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We're seeking a Survey Instrument Coordinator to join our collaborative and supportive team. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to contribute to a significant project whilst developing your skills in a dynamic environment. What will you be responsible for?

As a Survey Instrument Coordinator, you'll be working within the Engineering Survey team, supporting them in managing survey equipment across the project. Your day to day will include:

  • Managing survey equipment deliveries from suppliers and maintaining equipment registers
  • Coordinating the surveying team's measurement equipment and providing technical support to engineers
  • Verifying survey instruments are routinely checked, identifying faulty instruments, and maintaining calibration certificates
  • Managing and distributing survey procedures that support the use of survey equipment
  • Supporting the survey team in surveying activities within a complex and controlled work environment

What are we looking for?

This role of Survey Instrument Coordinator is great for you if:

  • You have experience managing survey equipment or similar equipment within the construction industry
  • You possess 3-5 years of experience in a similar position with strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • You have an understanding of document control and reporting requirements
  • You hold a CSCS Card, relevant site safety qualifications, and a Full driving licence
  • You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
