We're looking for a Delivery Team Administrator to join our West Northamptonshire Highways team based in Towcester, Northamptonshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive administrative support to our Delivery Team, ensuring effective coordination of operational activities and efficient communication with internal and external stakeholders. You'll play a vital role in supporting our highways operations, helping us deliver essential services to the community.

Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 37.5 per week – we're open to flexible working and will consider part-time, job share or compressed hours. If flexibility is important to you, let us know when you speak with us and we'll be happy to discuss the options available
Salary: £26,227 – £28,000 FTE per year + benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Delivery Team Administrator, you'll be working within the Delivery Team, supporting them in coordinating operational activities and ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual requirements. Your day to day will include:

  • Managing and administering the Section 136 Parish Mowing Scheme, including tracking requests, approvals, and payments
  • Processing and issuing private vegetation enforcement letters, ensuring compliance with Highways legislation
  • Monitoring and responding to Fix my Street updates
  • Processing operational permits and booking road space permits in advance of works
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting effective communication with stakeholders

What are we looking for?

This role of Delivery Team Administrator is ideal if you:

  • Have experience in an administrative or coordination role and enjoy keeping multiple tasks and priorities on track
  • Are interested in highways and infrastructure, or already have knowledge of the highway network and its operations
  • Can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communicate confidently and professionally, building positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
  • Take a proactive approach, use initiative to solve problems, and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
