Caretaker
We're looking for a Caretaker to join our Greenwich Care Homes team based in Greenwich.
Location: Greenwich Care Homes, Greenwich
Hours: 40 hours per week
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Kier Places are recruiting now for a Caretaker to support the delivery of a soft and hard services facilities management service for our client. You'll be ensuring the continuous operational availability of the buildings across the contract, maintaining required specifications and standards.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Caretaker, you'll be working within the Greenwich Care Homes team, supporting them in delivering exceptional facilities management services. Your day to day will include:
- Carrying out initial review of reactive calls and daily inspections of the site, actioning maintenance defects generated from the helpdesk
- Completing all PPMs within your competency level and updating the PPM system as required
- Checking mechanical and electrical systems to ensure building services are functioning correctly and investigating any alarms
- General building reactive and planned maintenance duties including lamp changing, water flushing, fire alarm tests, and grounds maintenance
- Building strong relationships with clients and the Kier team, taking personal responsibility for the presentation of the building
What are we looking for?
This role of Caretaker is great for you if:
- You have a building maintenance background with experience conducting a variety of general maintenance tasks
- You hold a full driving licence
- You're collaborative and enjoy working closely with clients and colleagues to find practical solutions
