Cleaner

We're looking for a Cleaner to join our Bexleyheath Academy team based in Bexleyheath.

Location: Bexleyheath Academy, Woolwich Road
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

We're looking for a dedicated Cleaner to help us maintain a spotless, safe, and welcoming environment at Bexleyheath Academy. You'll play a vital role in ensuring that students, staff, and visitors enjoy a clean and comfortable space every day.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Cleaner, you'll be working within the Bexleyheath Academy team, supporting them in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your day to day will include:

• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas
• Cleaning and disinfecting washrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors, and refilling supplies
• Dusting surfaces and sanitising high-touch points such as door handles and light switches
• Emptying waste bins and ensuring proper disposal of waste materials
• Responding promptly to spills and assisting with deep cleaning tasks when required

What are we looking for?

This role of Cleaner is great for you if:

• You have previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office, or commercial building
• You understand health and safety requirements, including COSHH regulations and the safe use of cleaning equipment
• You can work independently and take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
• You're reliable, organised, and able to follow cleaning schedules and procedures
