Highways Technology Engineer
We're looking for a Technology Engineer to join our Area 13 Maintenance & Response team based in Garstang Depot. Come join us as a Technology Engineer and become part of an exciting step change in highways technology maintenance.
Location: Garstang Depot – site based 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 42 per week

What will you be responsible for?
As a Technology Engineer, you'll be working with innovative systems and technologies, delivering proactive and reactive maintenance services while helping shape the future of technology maintenance on our contract.
Your day to day will include:
- Delivering proactive and reactive technology maintenance throughout your shifts
- Working with highways technology systems including TPMS, COBS, CCTV, and motorway communications
- Collaborating with supply chain partners and clients to ensure excellent service levels
- Contributing to the development and delivery of maintenance requirements plans
- Identifying innovative techniques and solutions to enhance service delivery
What are we looking for?
This Technology Engineer role could be a great fit if you bring:
- Hands-on experience working as a Highway's Technology Maintenance Engineer, with a solid understanding of how these environments operate day to day
- Strong knowledge of National Highways (Highways England) technology systems and how they're applied across the network
- The confidence to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion
- A forward-thinking mindset, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
- A relevant vocational qualification in a technology-related discipline, alongside HERS Sector 8 training
