As a Compliance Advisor, you'll play a vital role in supporting our business to operate with integrity and meet its compliance and data protection responsibilities. Working closely with the Head of Compliance and Data Protection Officer, you'll help maintain an effective compliance framework whilst providing practical, day-to-day support across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where your insights and expertise will be valued.

- Providing practical advice on compliance obligations and data protection requirements, including UK GDPR and related legislation
- Maintaining compliance registers and records, such as the Record of Processing Activities, DPIA register, and incident logs
- Supporting incident management and breach response, working with the Data Protection Officer to ensure timely and effective resolution
- Conducting risk-based monitoring and control testing, tracking findings and helping teams implement improvements
- Delivering compliance training and awareness campaigns to promote a culture of integrity across the organisation
What are we looking for?
This role of Compliance Advisor is great for you if:
- You have demonstrable experience in a compliance, risk, legal, or data protection role
- You possess solid working knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and can apply these principles pragmatically
- You have experience drafting policies, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments, and handling Subject Access Requests
- You have strong analytical and written communication skills, with confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- You have high attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to documentation
We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
