HR Business Partner

We're looking for a HR Business Partner to join our Kier Transportation team.

Location: Flexible on Location - hybrid working available with travel to offices and sites as required all over the UK
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - 12month Fixed Term Contract - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to partner with our Kier Transportation management team across a range of contracts. You'll play a key role in driving and delivering the people plan in support of our business strategy, whilst embedding the wider Kier people strategy. We're looking for someone who is collaborative, trusted and focused, with a passion for creating innovative people solutions that make a real difference.

What will you be responsible for?

As a HR Business Partner, you'll be working within the Kier Transportation team, supporting them in delivering a commercial, customer-focused people plan. Your day to day will include:

• Partnering with operational leaders as a trusted advisor, bringing people expertise and developing solutions to support business strategy
• Managing and co-ordinating all employee relations activity within your designated areas
• Using data, metrics and evidence to inform change, drive decision making and resolve complex people challenges
• Working collaboratively with resourcing partners and managers to develop effective hiring strategies
• Championing equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the business, whilst promoting wellbeing and supporting emerging talent programmes

What are we looking for?

This role of HR Business Partner is great for you if:

• You're degree qualified (or qualified by experience) with demonstrable experience of business partnering in medium to large organisations
• You have a highly collaborative working style with strong relationship skills and the ability to build influential relationships with senior stakeholders
• You possess well-developed employee engagement and employee relations skills with up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
• You're delivery focused and pragmatic, able to flex solutions and approaches to diverse audiences and business needs
• You have strong commercial awareness and a good understanding of talent management, succession planning and leadership development
