- Providing technical leadership for your assigned function, ensuring best practice is applied throughout all project stages
- Building a centre of excellence through training, continuous professional development, and individual staff development plans
- Managing the design and quality of a portfolio of projects, working collaboratively with Sector Leads and Region Directors
- Line managing and mentoring design managers, acting as career manager for your team
- Conducting regular site visits to review design programmes and ensure all parties are meeting their obligations
What are we looking for?
This role of Lead Designer is great for you if:
- You have demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment
- You have experience carrying out site audits and project reviews
- You've worked on BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data and LoDM
- You hold a Full driving licence
- You're passionate about developing others and building high-performing teams
We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
