Multi-Skilled Engineer

Kier Places Workplace Solutions are recruiting for a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Facilities Management team working at the London Fire Brigade (LFB), which forms part of our PFI Contract. This is a permanent role where you'll be undertaking routine and reactive maintenance tasks to meet required standards, ensuring adherence to our Compliance and Health and Safety procedures. Often the first point of contact to make-safe and complete first time fix/repair, you will be responsible for ensuring continuous operational availability of our buildings. The successful candidate will be mobile working on the fire stations, working closely with the Contract team to ensure service delivery to a high standard.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you'll be working within the Facilities Management team, supporting them in maintaining operational availability of buildings. Your day to day will include:

• Undertaking PPMs (Planned Preventative Maintenance) tasks and Legionella compliance tasks including tap temperature testing and flushing
• Diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical installations, plumbing, doors, and general building fabric
• Carrying out minor carpentry, painting, plastering, tiling, flooring, and general fabric repairs
• Recording PPM results correctly on our CAFM system and reporting building maintenance issues through the Kier Helpdesk
• Liaising with the Helpdesk on a daily basis regarding work in progress and inducting sub-contractors to ensure correct procedures are in place

What are we looking for?

This role of Multi Skilled Engineer is great for you if:

• You hold a Full driving licence
• You have Electrical Qualifications – Level 3 in Electrical Installations such as C&G 236, Inspection and Testing C&G 2391-52, 18th Edition, C&G 2382
• You have multi-skilled experience within mechanical and fabric maintenance and demonstrate general engineer competence
• You're computer literate including using tablets to update and complete work tasks, and can communicate effectively with the team and clients in a positive manner
