We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames Water Framework team based in Maple Lodge STW.

Location: Maple Lodge STW – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Join us as a Quantity Surveyor and become part of our collaborative Thames Water team working on the exciting Maple Lodge STW upgrade. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop your skills on a major water infrastructure project whilst contributing to meaningful work that benefits local communities. You'll be supporting our commercial team in a role that values both your expertise and potential, with clear pathways for progression towards Senior QS level.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering excellent commercial performance across this significant water infrastructure project. Your day to day will include:

  • Supporting cost control and financial reporting, including preparing cost reports, measuring works, and assisting with monthly valuations
  • Managing subcontract activities from enquiry through to payment, maintaining accurate records and supporting tender analysis
  • Assisting with change management by identifying, recording and valuing variations with supporting documentation
  • Contributing to commercial reporting and maintaining clear, organised records in line with governance requirements
  • Collaborating with engineering, operations and planning teams to ensure accurate information gathering and successful package delivery

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You have experience as an Assistant QS or QS on civil engineering, utilities, construction or infrastructure projects
  • You possess strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail and good organisational abilities
  • You have some experience of subcontract procurement, valuations and cost reporting
  • You have a good understanding of construction contract principles and are proficient in MS Excel and commercial tools
  • You have strong communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with diverse teams

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
