Senior Quantity Surveyor
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Design team based nationwide, on a 14 month fixed term basis. In this role you'll manage all aspects of pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities across Kier Design.
Location: Nationwide - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, working independently achieving cost savings and providing insightful reporting to Senior Management. You'll also ensure commercial controls are in place for all work undertaken and have line management responsibilities.
Your day to day will include:
- Overseeing the safe entry into external contracts by following Kier's governance protocols and processes
- Managing the procurement of subcontractors across the whole of Kier Design
- Reviewing internal and external contract conditions, providing amendments where necessary, whilst also providing the design teams with guidance on processes/onerous condition
- Assisting with the production and reviewing of project fee proposals
- Guiding and managing end-of-life project cost and revenue, ensuring accurate forecasting and compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations, are taking place by the operational teams
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You are working within a similar role, for a main contractor or within a design consultancy
- Are regularly reviewing and administering contracts., particularly NEC PSC or similar
- Experience of subcontractor procurement and management
- Hold a good understanding of project financial reviews and forecasting, reporting back to senior management
