Senior Quantity Surveyor
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Severn Trent Framework based in the Midlands.
Location: Midlands - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key commercial role supporting the delivery of water and sewerage treatment projects across the Severn Trent area. You'll lead a small team of commercial professionals, managing projects from start to finish whilst working collaboratively with clients and colleagues to achieve outstanding results.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering a portfolio of design and build water and sewerage treatment works.
Your day to day will include:
- Managing all commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion, including subcontract management, change control, and final accounting
- Leading and supporting a small team of commercial professionals to achieve business targets and exceed KPIs
- Monitoring project costs and value, preparing monthly applications for payment and ensuring cash flow is maximised
- Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks whilst implementing effective risk management strategies
- Building strong relationships with clients through regular financial updates and collaborative problem-solving
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You have experience in a similar role, particularly within framework civils or utilities contracts
- You're familiar with NEC contracts with Target Costs and have a strong background in the construction or civils industry
- You hold a degree in Quantity Surveying and are working towards or have attained professional membership
- You have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft business suite, and experience with Oracle and Causeway accounting systems
- You hold a Full driving licence and have strong communication skills with a client-facing approach
