SHE Manager
We're looking for a SHE Manager to join our Severn Trent Framework based in Wanlip, Leicester.
Location: Wanlip, Leicester
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As the dedicated SHE Manager at Wanlip Sewage Treatment Works, you will be the on-site lead for all health, safety, and environmental matters. This is a dynamic and technically demanding position where you'll operate autonomously, upholding Kier's high standards throughout the project lifecycle while fostering strong working relationships with Severn Trent Water. You'll collaborate closely with the Project Director, Project Managers, and Senior Operations Managers to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory obligations.
What will you be responsible for?
As a SHE Manager, you'll be working within the Wanlip Project team, supporting them in delivering excellence in health, safety, and environmental performance. Your day to day will include:
- Leading site inspections, audits, and incident investigations to maintain the highest safety standards
- Ensuring all projects remain compliant with integrated management system requirements and legal obligations
- Managing and mentoring the SHE team, creating an environment where high-performing teams can thrive
- Collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to embed SHE strategies across all site activities
- Providing timely, accurate advice to project teams and ensuring all reporting requirements are met promptly
What are we looking for?
This role of SHE Manager is great for you if:
- You hold a NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent) and professional membership with IOSH, IIRSM, or IEMA
- You bring experience managing health and safety in construction or other high-risk industries
- You have experience leading a team of health and safety professionals
- You possess working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 Standards
- You hold a Full driving licence
